New Zealand’s national open farm day is set for Sunday 12 March 2023.

Open Farms helps urban Kiwis reconnect with our land, food and farmers and they’re now looking for farmer hosts. This initiative is open to all food and fibre producers, and it would be great to see organic and regenerative farms well represented in the line-up.

You bring your passion and pride for farming, and Open Farms will bring the marketing, planning support and kit to streamline your open day. The size, format and focus of your event is in your hands.

Like Open Farms, the ODPG believes that every Kiwi benefits from getting up close and personal with the story of how their food is produced. This is a unique opportunity to educate people on organic and regenerative farming and raise awareness of the valuable work we’re doing. Post-event research shows that open farm events make a real, positive difference to how Kiwis think and feel about farming.
