Thank you to True Health for supporting the ODPG as a conference sponsor for our 2024 Conference in Hawkes Bay on April 5th and 6th.
Wondering how to deal with cow infections when certified organic? Looking for more ‘tools in the organic toolbox’? Look for the remedies used by most organic dairy farmers. The True Health animal remedies were developed by Dr Paul Dettloff, esteemed USA Organic Valley consulting vet. Dr Paul developed these plant based remedies over the last 35 years and they are now used on thousands of farms and by dozens of veterinary practices throughout the USA. The 15 True Health Ltd. products are BioGro certified and ideal for naturally and powerfully dealing to major animal health and calving challenges. The remedies can boost natural animal immune response to help fight off infections and heal minor wounds. They may also be helpful with post calving problems, calf rumen health and hormonal balance in cows. They include: alcohol tinctures, essential oil extracts, aloe based liquids, and boluses.
Above all, Dr Paul stressed the importance of good soil remineralisation so that high quality pasture nutrition supports cow growth, production and health. These medicinal plant remedies are a bridge to better animal production as we all strive for taller pastures that are mineral balanced, microbially active, diverse and high brix…. the basis for contented animals and a healthy environment.

Friday 5th and Saturday 6th APRIL
Two Evenings and Saturday Field Trip
at the Havelock North Function Centre, Hawkes Bay
Conference Schedule
As the theme might give away there will be a lot of discussion time this year. Our sector is under increasing pressure with limited capacity for Meat processing and Dairy having major players drop out or looking to discontinue processing. What is our destiny and what can we do? Plenty to talk over.
Our event will kick off on late Friday afternoon with Registrations and then dinner, with speakers following laying the groundwork for both Saturdays Field Day and our Saturday night panel discussions. We’ll be on farm on Saturday looking at both Soil and Animal Health before returning to the function centre for the AGM, Dinner, more speakers and the Panel Discussion. There will be plenty of time to mix and mingle between planned events.
Included in your ticket is Dinner on Friday and Saturday night plus Lunch on the field trip.
