The Organic Dairy and Pastoral Group is all about helping organic, regenerative and biological farmers to farm profitably, and supporting and encouraging a more holistic, sustainable way of farming in New Zealand. Our membership consists of a network of farmers who are happy to share their farming knowledge and experiences. The executive committee are constantly developing educational events and resources to help their members, and staying up to date with current farming issues.
2. Free Farming Webinars
Following the outbreak of Covid-19 last March, we moved our learning to a webinar platform, providing fortnightly webinars on all kinds of subjects – FREE to our members. We’ve learnt about composting, biodynamics, humates, the soil food web, homeopathy & more, with recordings available to members … and there is much more to come.
3. Attend our Open Forum
On March 10th, we’re having an online Open Forum for our members – an invitation to discuss farming issues of all kinds with fellow farmers, and the way forward for organic, regenerative and biological farming.
4. Reduced Tickets to our March Conference: Physics in Agriculture
Members are entitled to reduced-price tickets for our conferences and any workshops we run. On March 21st and 22nd, our 2021 Conference is being held in Waihi with five speakers and two field trips concentrating on Physics in Agriculture.

5. You don’t have to be an Organic Farmer
Anyone with an interest in farming where the environment is a priority can join us. Whether you’re a researcher, a scientist, a farmer in transition or embracing regenerative farming methods.
And if you’re a Supplier to the Organic Industry looking for their audience?
Great! We are happy to welcome Commercial Members at the ODPG, whether a supply, educator or service provider. We can offer you advertising, sponsorship opportunities, and an audience; our website had over 25,000 views in 2020. Find out more here.
