A new NZ project, aimed at ‘reinforcing the building blocks of well-being’, combines scrap metal and farmers who are keen to make some improvised noise together.
The collaboration, between a producer, a composer/drummer, a social worker and a sound installation artist, has had a lot of interest. Social worker Moira Krispe believes the fun, musical get-togethers are great for tackling feelings of isolation.
“There was hitting things, there was creativity, there was fun and there was issues around mental health all of which have been a part of who I’ve been for a very long time, so I thought, yup, I’m in.”
